Event: Celebrate the lives saved in Ukraine 1 year on with Belmont nonprofit Refugee Protection International (RPI), as seen on Belmont Journal TV, NBC10 Boston (NBC app), Ukraine state media (Repost), WBZ-TV CBS Boston, News Nation’s Morning in America & NEID Global. Learn more about RPI’s aid in Ukraine and enjoy a special performance by war-displaced Ukrainian singer Olga Abakumova & bandura player Stephan Zaets as reported by GBH.

RPI’s President and Executive Director, Jennifer Hill, will discuss her team’s dozen trips into Ukraine to assist some 44,000 civilians with Ukrainian hospitals, shelters, and community partners. Thanks to Belmont Media Center, video footage of RPI’s aid work in Ukraine will be shown. Ukrainian Belmont resident Iryna Piotrowska will welcome performers Olga Abakumova and Stephan Zaets to the stage. RPI will raffle gift cards from local businesses and sell pottery made by Ukrainian children with RPI’s partner charity “Way Home” to support war-affected communities.
